38th Annual AIDS Walk Raises Money for HIV Services
More than 300 participants gathered at Orange Coast College on Saturday, September 14 for the 38th Annual AIDS Walk Orange County. Hosted by Radiant Health Centers, the event brought together advocates and donors to raise essential funds for HIV services in the local community. Once again, the community gave generously to support this vital cause and create a lasting impact.
Fundraising at the 38th Annual AIDS Walk Orange County
Participants at the 38th Annual AIDS Walk contributed more than $90,000 to the cause. These funds will strengthen essential healthcare programs and additional services across Orange County, helping ensure that comprehensive care remains accessible to those who need it.
During a lively and enthusiastic event, business leaders and local officials joined hundreds of community members in solidarity, united in their commitment to ending the HIV epidemic. Such supportive fundraising efforts allow Radiant Health Centers to expand our services to reach even more people with vital HIV care services.
A Day of Events to Support HIV/AIDS Fundraising
While the 5K walk was the centerpiece of the 38th Annual AIDS Walk Orange County, there was much more to experience throughout the event. Unlike previous years, the walk itself took place at sunset amidst colorful glow sticks and bright lights. Prior to the Glow Walk, attendees enjoyed a day of entertainment hosted by Miss Livinya Karr and Tony Morrison.
The pre-walk entertainment offered everything from silent disco and Zumba sessions to a crowd-favorite cutest dog contest. MenAlive, Orange County’s Gay Men’s Chorus, captivated the audience with their performance, while a vendor fair offered local goods and services. And to conclude this inspiring day, attendees headed to a ticketed after-party at Strut Bar & Club.
Event Draws Support From Across Orange County
The event’s meaningful success was made possible through the dedicated support of local leaders and corporate sponsors. Costa Mesa Mayor John Stephens and Council Member Arlis Reynolds received special acknowledgment for their continued support, while the many sponsors, including ADP and Gilead, made valuable contributions. As the driving force for this year’s walk, event co-chairs Yvette Cervantes and Felicity Figueroa were instrumental in bringing the community together for this important cause.
