It is critically important for clients to continue taking prescribed medications.

To avoid potential contact with COVID-19, you may benefit from medication delivery.  CVS and Walgreens are now waiving all medication delivery costs for eligible prescriptions. Patients should talk to their pharmacists to confirm their prescriptions are eligible for delivery at this time.

If your pharmacy is not providing free delivery, you may want to switch to one that does. The pharmacies listed below confirmed that they are all doing free home deliveries, and do not expect any drug shortages at this time. Any client can switch to these pharmacies, regardless of their 340B eligibility.

If you would like to switch to a contracted pharmacy for free home delivery, please contact your case manager.

LGBTQ+ Community

The LGBTQ+ population may be at increased risk for COVID-19 based on three factors:

  • Tobacco use rates are 50% higher in the LGBTQ+ community the general population. This is relevant because COVID-19 is a respiratory disease that is harmful to smokers.
  • The LGBTQ+ population has higher rates of cancer and HIV, both can compromise a person’s immune system.
  • The LGBTQ+ community still faces discrimination, including health care setting. This makes many people hesitate to seek care.

Please take precautions to protect your health: Wash your hands regularly, practice social distancing and seek medical treatment if you show systems of COVID-19.
